I received an advance reader’s copy but this does not affect or influence my review.
I totally forgot that I received an ARC for this book and after reading Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, I am finally ready to read this one. I didn’t know what this book is about but I am pretty sure that the book title itself is telling me what I am about to read but it just didn’t tell me that I’m going to love it immediately on the first chapter.
This book is about Molly who never had a boyfriend and always crushing on people who she believes never liked her back. She is pretty and it was described that she is fat. She has friends and she is creative, and she’s got two mothers as parents. Her twin, Cassie is the opposite of her, she easily hooked up with girls and get there number compared to Molly who is usually tongue tied whenever facing her crush. This is such an enjoyable book, and I think the best of Albertalli so far. I was never bored for a single moment of this book. I love everything about it, every realization of Molly is something I am sure that each of us has thought about and experienced. This is such a great book that would help you realize your worth and how it is dealing with insecurities, self doubt, and romance while not losing yourself and your friends or family.
