A library apprentice, a sorcerer prince, and an unbreakable magic bond…

The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in seventeen-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war.

Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all—the Crown Prince Aldrik—she finds herself enticed into his world. Now she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she’s known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she’s always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla’s indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined.

review

This perfectly aligns with Red Queen, Throne of Glass, and A Court of Thorns and Roses! If you loved those mentioned series, you would definitely love this one. The role of books and libraries in the story are what made it unique. Who would’ve thought that a position like Library Apprentice, Magic and the basic Elements (fire, water, air, ground) would produce an amazing story.

I enjoyed the character development of Vhalla Yarl, the main progtagonist and heroine. Her courage, bravery, and intelligence is appealing though she has her moments when she has a lot of assumptions and emotional breakdowns which are kinda funny at times. The Crown Prince Aldrik and The Heartbreaker younger brother, Prince Baldair are both captivating, funny, and the kind that makes you wish you actually have a boyfriend like them! Of course, the fights scenes and heartbreaking events that occurred helped me form a bond with the characters. Although, the romance that exists through breathtaking actions and unspoken words were the main reason I couldn’t put it down.

It only took me less than 24 hours to finish, based on my observations this series isn’t really that popular yet and I hope that a lot of people would be introduced to this series and fall in love with it. There are still a lot more to discover in the book but I wouldn’t mention any of it cause you may have a clue and I don’t wanna spoil any of you!
