What if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours?17-year-old Lucinda falls in love with a gorgeous, intelligent boy, Daniel, at her new school, the grim, foreboding Sword & Cross . . . only to find out that Daniel is a fallen angel, and that they have spent lifetimes finding and losing one another as good & evil forces plot to keep them apart.

review

The story reveals nothing at first, I would compare this to Twilight but Bella had clues that Edward could possibly be vampire, but in this book you won’t have a clue about the characters’ nature. I like the concept that Daniel waits all the time for Luce in every life time which is so romantic. The book is also great when it comes to suspense, because again you’re clueless. The problem here is the way of writing and the sequence of the events. Actually, I don’t know if it deserves to be called ‘events’ since nothing huge really happened until you reach Epilogue which is crazy because that’s not really the purpose of epilogues. Main twists should belong to the main contents of the book.

I want you to know that I would do it all again. I will choose you every time.

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetOkay. I understand that most people who read this book probably are so mad because seriously who doesn’t think that this book sucks? Right? But thats all it is, this BOOK sucks but the SERIES is amazing! I know its so hard to continue to the next 3 books of this series, cause book 1 is so dragging and it almost contains nothing. I had this book since 2009 but it was only late 2012 that I finished the whole series that I appreciated the whole thing.

If you’re brave enough, you can finish the first book of this series and enjoy your way on the next three books, which are really really better.
